This Comic is about the light and a few of the different meanings that light has for me. The story starts our with the ignition of the light in the form of fire. Fire in this case represents artistic passion and the soul of an artist. We put so much of ourselves into what we make and its beautiful but it takes a lot out of you at the same time. The melting candle lady represents the slow progression and pain of artists' burnout. At the end if you just run solely on passion you are left with nothing, like a puddle of useless wax, and in the dark. But God the ultimate light can take that wax and transform it into something better that can not be snuffed out. The light is coming from the inside of the circle because God lives in us and gives us new life in Him.

Being a Christian gives you a community and network of other believers that you have connection with in a way that doesn't happen with other people. That is why when the circle is reformed it is connected to all the other dots. Even when the dot goes out into the unknown and away from the stable Christian community they are still connected. The final panel shows how I felt when I first arrived at college. Everybody was all spaced out and I was desperate to break ranks and draw near to anybody around me. Most of the people I met did not know God so I was a light shining in the darkness for everybody else to see God through me. The dot is drawing near the other dots that are staying away from each other and as the dot draws near its light shines on the others. There is another yellow dot because despite feeling alone I just had to do some searching to find my companion dots and at the time I hadn't found anybody yet. But just as the picture shows they were closer than I expected.
