This tooth fairy lives under somebody's sink; others live in cabinets, sheds and generally small spaces where they can meet their nests and go undisturbed. Tooth fairies are nocturnal and only come out at night to collect their treasures. They are generally solitary animals because they are hoarders and will protect their nests with violence. They prefer air conditioning and easy access to water so they live typically near or in houses in hard-to-access spaces. They eat insects and tiny animals so they basically act as pest control. If a tooth fairy is discovered in a home they are a welcome guest because they keep away pests and are very quiet and not disruptive. The most common name is an American red-bellied goatoad. It is an amphibious mammal. Tooth fairies can travel within a twenty-mile radius at night and always return to their nests before dawn. They are not territorial so there can be a few in a given area but they limit the number to about three within a ten-mile radius because they need an ample source of teeth to collect and are only violent when they two try and collect the same tooth.

They do not like other animals very much and will avoid them when all possible. If confronted the first instinct will be to run away unless confronted in their nest with their hoard. To remove a tooth fairy from an inconvenient space you must set a trap with teeth and move the tooth fairy hoard to a more convenient place where you release the tooth fairy after capture. The reason for the tooth collection is for mating and hierarchy purposes. Having better and the cleanest teeth that fully fill the mouth are the best way to prove to a mate that you are an efficient collector and can provide for your mate. The problem is that over time teeth go bad and the tooth fairy saliva will make the teeth grow mold and start to rot. because teeth are hard to come by the tooth fairys are vigilant to constantly look for more to ensure that they have cleaner and newer teeth for replacement.
